The maze, or labyrinth, can be found throughout human history across the world. It serves as a sacred path that inspires healing, reflection, and rebirth. Like our shadows, they connect us to our ancestors--encouraging empathy and a respect for tradition, while presenting new perspectives and hidden facets of our inner world.

Mazewalker Films was founded in 2013 and is based in Kespukwitk, L’nuekati (Nova Scotia). A young production company founded on the Mi’kmaw principal of Two-Eyed Seeing, Mazewalker borrows the strongest ideas and approaches of both an Indigenous and settler worldview in order to create stories that elevate our understanding of ourselves and each other. In addition to focusing on Indigenous experiences, Mazewalker explores the stories of Two Spirit/Indigiqueer and LGBTQ+ People through the medium of cinema.
